"Old European pear cut"? Help me learn...

Disclaimer: I'm not interested in purchasing this ring. I just want to know if OE and pear cut can occur on the same diamond. The photos aren't very explicit, but here it is...

Obviously in the old days..., Rough Diamonds didnt just come in squarish/roundish shapes...
Then imagine in what fashion the cutters cut the long odd shapes back then...

You have Old-Cuts in all shapes.
