Old cut diamond, smaller culet the better?

I'm interested in this transitional cut stone but it has a very very small culet. Since I have no idea about old cut stone and most I see has a very visible open culet I'm not sure what's consider better.

I agree with slg but you have to know the large culet are often in Old Mine Cut. Transitional or OEC have more small culets.

It has no effect on optics, other aspects of faceting are much more important.
