Old cameo pin

I have a gorgeous old cameo pin that I believe was once my grandmother's. My mother gave it to me but she acquired it as a young child and can't remember who she got it from. Regardless, it's a family piece. But I don't wear pins! I think it would make a great ring or pendant, but I don't want to mess up the integrity of it.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to make it wearable? Thanks a million! I'll try and get some photos of it in the meantime.

This is the best I have for now. It was taken with my crappy blackberry camera. Doesn't really show the extent of the gorgeous vintage detail in the gold.

Easy to wear it as necklace.

Just use a rolo or other large link chain and slip on in the pin. Be sure to close correctly the pin and you could wear it as is without problem.
