Ok so my mom had a jewelry cleaner. You just our ur solution on and it vibrates. So I poured me.clean multi surface cleaner in just enough so ring was submerged. Let it run for give minutes. Rinsed it off and then dried it. Shines like new. I guess me.clean is safe/works great!

Did you dilute with warm water? Did you use ammonia free Mr Clean?

Cleaning definitely makes a difference! I go low-tech: a jar of Connoisseur's or something comparable that my diamond pieces bathe in after every wearing. I wouldn't be without it!

I dilute very very little with a tiny bit of water , no it wasn't warm

Yes the mr clean was ammonia free.

Why Christina did I do it wrong? Or are you asking for personal use

A cleaning makes all the difference in the world, doesn't it? Brings that sparkle right back!

Makes me nervous that I didn't dilute the mr clean with water. I used a drop of water. Does anyone use straight mr clean? Worried I could stain ring that greenish color.

Not gonna hurt, but I usually go with 80% hot water and 20% of Mr. Clean.

I have used straight Mr Clean - but the non- ammonia kind - and just let it soak for 10 mins or so, at the most. No issues I've noticed so far... and they don't glow that HORRID neon green colour, either!

If you soak a white diamond with Windex for 1 week it'll turn into a "blue diamond" .. :wink2:

Yeah mine was ammonia free, let it soak for 4 minutes. That's what I was afraid of it staining it that green color! Lol

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you! Ammonia can be hard on certain alloys, so I wanted to be sure that you used the ammonia free type and you did! Yah! I dilute mine with about 80% hot water like DF mentioned. It may not be necessary but I sort of panic thinking about pouring it over my rings full strength...though I'm not sure why because I have no problem putting it in a jar of store bought jewelry cleaner and I have no idea what inside that! Anyway, I don't think that it will cause your ring to turn 'green' but I do think that it can wear away rhodium plating (if your ring is WG) over time. I'm not sure about platinum or if it can promote patina. Maybe someone else can answer that if it wasn't answered in the other thread.
