I really am close to buying it, can anyone see any problems with it? To me it looks like a good deal but I am not an expert and feel quite nervous spending this much on myself! I am going to set it in one of their cheap solitaires until I can find a setting over here that I want probably a floral halo.

Did you request an IS or ASET image? To me, the angles here are not "safe" enough on a GIA stone to forgo that step.

Done bought pulled the trigger OMG this is the biggest jewellery purchase I have made Please please greek and Roman gods of diamonds let there be no tears.

I bought it in a simple solitaire setting so that I can get a local jeweller to set in in a different setting when I can afford to get something really stunning (probably when I sell my firstborn). This ring signifies so much to me new beginnings and a change in the path of my life so I hope when I am feeling nervous I can look at it and remember everything will be ok. It's been a hard couple of years thats for sure. If it turns up and I hate it they have a 30 day return policy and I think from all my research and the help of forum members (shout out to RockySalamander) I didn't find a unicorn but it was the best I could do on the budget I had.

IS ( idealscope) and ASET are images taken with special filters to see light return in a diamond. It reveals a lot not seen over a video. You can purchase your own scopes if the vendor does not provide them.This is what I meant by the underlined area on this post (#25)...Found a diamond but is this company ok to buy through? Zoara?

Thank I have requested these. I will be happy if it shines and I know it won't be perfect (like me) but it will go back only if it is dull and has any black marks that can be seen with the naked eye. Now the hunt will start for a setting here in OZ. I'm in Perth if anyone has contacts with a excellent jeweller?

Those are hearts and arrows images.

The images suggest what my eyes did. The diamond is not very symmetrically cut. If you look at the pigeon toes, the white V at the end of the hear, can you see how they are all uneven and not the same as each other? The hearts have clefts and the arrows shaft and point don't align well? So, its not a hearts and arrows or highly symmetrical cut. For me, this would be problematic. But, ask them to send your the IS (idealscope) or ASET to really be sure about performance.

Edited to add. An ASET will be a image that has red, green and blue. An IS will have varying shades of red. Both can be on a white or black background.

Thanks RockySalamander we are walking away from this purchase the customer service is atrocious and they will only accept a bank wire not cc or Pay pal. Is this normal? For all I know it could be anyone I'm transferring the money to.

Bank-wire from Aus to US in normal (standard practice) with purchases over a certain amount.

Feeling uncomfortable and unhappy is not normal!
