Those big lights are my absolute FAVORITE...I think because they remind me of when I was little.

We finally got a few inches this morning. We just got back in the house a bit ago. This is the first time JT''s been able to really PLAY in the snow. I had to drag him back in the house because he wanted to sit and eat snow all day!

Thank you Linda. Yes, we are truly blessed and it was a chance find when we moved to Canada 11 years ago. I love the weather here. It''s either hot or cold, rarely in between and such a contrast from the interminable months of grey we were used to in the UK.

One other thing that is great about Calgary is the fantastic and renowned "Big Alberta Blue Sky". I kid you not, the sky is huge here and the sun shines most of the year. I think I read somewhere that only Perth gets more sunshine than us!

The lake is now frozen and it''s ironic, with all the talk of global warming our lake freezes during the 3rd week of November and thaws in the 3rd week of April. Same every year since we''ve been here.

These are all awesome pictures!!! I love the snow, I actually live in Chicago and we just had our first pretty big snowfall last night into today and its funny hearing everyone complaining. I''m like "It''s so pretty, how can you hate it!?" It does suck driving in it but you just have to be careful and enjoy it!

Linda, our front yard does look very Christmasy. I want to put lights on the big tree but hate to risk Marty''s life and limb to do that. The dog is pretty funny. When we first moved in he greated me in my car one day. You know you get the feeling someone is looking at you, your look up the this big dog is looking me right in the eye. I open the door thinking he''s going to growl at me or bark or something so I say "hi doggy" and he starts wagging his tail. He doesn''t scare me anymore. Yes, our 5th wheeler is still out front. We have a lot to park it on at an RV dealer but since it has things in it we want sometimes we just leave it here.

These lights are my favorite too! So old fashioned Christmas looking!
