If 90% of guys cheat, and that must surely be overstating it, then who are they cheating with? Isn''t it a similar % of women who are cheating or is it a small percentage of women who are frantically busy cheating with the 90% of men who are cheating. And I doubt we would label those women sex addicted. We are more likely find a reason, a syndrome, an excuse and perhaps think they''re "exploring their sexuality". Unfortunately for men there is no excuse because in our age, man = bad.

RE: Women getting the "better" end of the cheating stick, could not be further from the truth, IMO.

Women who cheat or sleep around, are automatically labeled sluts. They are looked down upon by ALL in the community.
Men who cheat or sleep around are actually admired by some (mainly men), but for the most part are given some kind of out... "sex addict", un-happy, the wife must have "driven" him to it, etc.

I don''t know for sure if Tiger is a sex addict, but it is a real addiction, and there are many women who are sex addicts, not only men. I have a very good friend who is a sex addict who hated herself and what she was doing, but she destroyed relationship after relationship, and eventually destroyed her marriage and family, all the while hating what she was doing and hating herself for doing it. But, it was a compulsion, like drug addiction or gambling addiction. It''s not just limited to men.

It sounds as if Elin's mother was hospitalized. It was in the middle of the night again. But people get heart attacks in the middle of the night. We don't know that she and Tiger Woods had a fight. As some posters have pointed out, even if he was drunk and yelling at Elin for "ruining Thanksgiving", there is no evidence that he hurt her physically and some good evidence that he was trying to flee the scene during their fight. He may have threatened her inside the house earlier; I wasn't there. I don't know. But we cannot assume he hit her mother even if her mother was hospitalized. I see Tiger Woods more as an Errol Flynn than an OJ Simpson.

Good post:

Yes there are some with hard core addictions, and yes there are some with what I will call situational needs; and in a few cases people just get caught totally by surprised in a situation; but, in a large number of "cheating" cases - it is about personal accountability concerning a decissions. The key in these cases revolves arround if the person is willing to admit it - dig into why they made that decission at the time - and then work to prevent it from occuring again.

Actually, if the pictures exist.... I suspect that they are more likely pictures of him on a foreign or private beach (where swimsuits can be rare - for both sexes); or perhaps at one of the US nudist beaches.

I suspose such pictures of me exist might exist as well from my time on the French Riviara long ago (not to mention when I was a kid and we skinny dipped in the river).

It may be possible that such pictures exist of him as an adult and posing for some reason - but I would have expected him to have signed a very tight waiver/privacy agreement that limited how the photos could be used.

1. I believe men actually don't think it through. They just do what feels good at the time. If they get away away with it, they try to see how much better they can get the next time, and the one after that. Maybe they think that the women would not speak up because they don't want to get called "homewreckers." But the married guys I met when I was on my 20s always said, If you're married ,cheat with a married woman, not a single one. The single one has nothing to lose. The married one does.

2. How can they broadcast it all over the place? See #1, above, lol. They are possibly women scorned, they are not the most respected members of society anyway, they use men to get ahead, they get paid for their stories. What do thy have to lose by talking? They obviously don't think there's any shame in getting caught with a married guy. It's more attention for them. They might be live-for-the-moment types, themselves.

This topic of cheating spouses was discussed on another discussion board. What I was surprised to hear is the number of women who'd said sure, I'd date a married man if he offered them the right situation and lifestyle. Those women all said: "I'm not the one who is married. I am not the one who is cheating. He is, and it's not my problem." So, they were not worried about what the guy had at home and how it might affect his family. "Not my problem" is how they all saw it.

And I think my mother was right on about Tiger's gals being call girls, LOL! I feel sorry for his wife.
