considering it's not returnable, I guess rings would not be included? not sure, but I love surprises, so I'm a little tempted, but I don't like expensive unreturnable mistakes so....

I've been a huge fan of Kataoka since I first discovered his jewelry in 2014. I collected a few things here and there, and thought I'd share some pics. Please post if you have any of his pieces!

First up, the crown ring. 0.68 ctw of rose cut & brilliant cut diamonds, set in 18K yellow gold. Fun fact: there are two rose cuts in each station, stacked, to enhance the appearance of the top stone. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get this ring to look its best in photos.

I went to the Kataoka location in NYC in September and just had a delightful time. Here was my favorite piece but I think it’s no longer available!

They were so nice in the shop! They did confirm that they don’t set outside stones at all (I asked out of curiosity), perhaps it’s something they used to do or only do for certain clients

I ended up buying the Snowflake necklace with a double layered rose cut diamond on champagne gold.

It’s very dainty but just felt so beautiful I couldn’t part with it!

I nearly bought this too - they assured me it was part of their collection (versus something one off or specially made) so I plan on getting it at some point…I even loved it on my pinky!

Thank you! I should take a picture of the hidden detail - there’s a single flower on the palm side that has diamond petals with an emerald center.
