OECs - depth?

Hi! I am about to pull the trigger on an OEC for my Mom, but it has a depth of 68.1% (diamond measures 6.59 - 6.77 x 4.55 mm). My understanding is that the numbers matter less for old cuts - does anyone think the depth would be a problem? Grace has assured me that the stone is very bright and it looks great in pictures/video, just wanted to see if anyone has any input. Thanks!!

OECs are nothing like MRBs and that depth seems totally 'normal'. The whole appeal is the deeper stone, with a tiny table and super high crown! I'd trust Grace...she's got a great eye for antique stones! If she says it's perty, I'm sure it is!

I would trust Grace too.

+1 trust Grace. She offers a 3 day review period. You'll know whether you love it when you open the box! (Post pics!!)

Ok thanks everyone!! I just bought it and I'm really excited to see it - will post pics! I hope I love it and then my Mom does too! She never spent money on herself while we were growing up and her original e-ring is very modest, so I'm hoping that this one is a little disco ball. Luckily she has small fingers so it doesn't need to be enormous to really pop :)

Grace and all of you were 1000% right - here is the sparkle bug!! It's a 1.24 ct F, I1 (!) - I was a little worried about the clarity and depth, but in person all I see is sparkle and icy whiteness. It also makes sense to me that you can appreciate the facets better in a lower color - I am already plotting ahead to the day when I get 2ctw OEC studs in a lower color ;)

Ugh sorry, I tried rotating before posting but obviously failed :(

So how do you like it Sandy? Do you like the higher color? Will you send it back for a lower one?

Keeping! If it was for me I would definitely send it back for a lower color (and bigger size hehe) but this one is for my Mom, she is more traditional and prefers the icy white colors. I am having so much fun playing with it though - I have a beautiful antique oval from Grace that I love, and the OEC is so different!
