Time to share. This is my new OEC from JBEG and I had it set my my original engagement. Original stone was .5 I color and the new beauty is .69 F color. Love this stone and JBEG.

So pretty. What are the stats as in color and clarity. Also some closet facet patterning pics please. Looks white and sparkly.

An F color OEC! Awesome! Beautiful ring, congrats!

Very nice stone you have there, Caza!! Looks wonderful in that setting - congrats and enjoy that new beauty!!!

It looks beautiful and I love it with that wedding band  !

LOOKS GORGEOUS! I have a transitional and am also considering setting it in a newer setting......

Nice upgrade! Enjoy!!!

Looks beautiful!! Such a bright, lovely stone and it looks so pretty in the setting!

Your setting looks like it was made for that diamond! I'm sure its absolutely dazzling in real life!

Thank you all for the replies :). She is sparkly and I'm enjoying how she changes in different lighting. This is my first OEC and I think I've been bitten by the bug. I realized my pics aren't the best but luckily JBEG still have the pics and video for this stone so here is a link

This site is great and I've learned so much from you all. I never would have known what an OEC was without this site! Thanks again!

Congrats its beautiful! Love the video of the stone WOW!

I just watched the video of your stone-It's so beautiful  Looks great in your setting!

Congrats on the OEC! It looks great in your setting! I'm developing a real love for baguettes lately!

Gorgeous!!

Very pretty! I love OEC's!

Thank you all. Ladies who have had both OECs and MRB. Do you find yourself switching between the two often or did you become fall hard for the OEC and forget about your MRB?

So far, I love having the option of switching between my original e-ring ( this ring) and my 1.21 MRB. This is my first OEC and it's growing on me to the point that I find myself wearing this ring more than my 1.21. Then I have moments of DSS and switch back...

I was thinking of selling my 1.21 to try out a larger Tranny or OEC for my 10 year wedding anniversary in April but I also like MRB just wish mine was a bit larger, of higher color grade and better cut. Two weeks after my new OEC arrived I got the 1.21 appraised by an independent appraiser here in Boston as I had 75% decided to consign it with JBEG but then had a case of second thoughts... So now I am switching between the two while trying to decide what to do with the 1.21...

Thoughts?

So beautiful!! Wear in health and happiness!
My POV is that variety is the spice of life so if you can enjoy them both!

Pretty ring! Congrats.

I'm pretty "loyal" to my jewelry and like to have one perfect-for-me set that I wear daily. So I'd sell both and get one larger antique stone one you love. But I'm also a pretty conservative dresser and have never done anything exciting like tattoos, double piercings, fun hair color, etc. So probably best not to take accessorizing advice from a stick in the mud (unless you're one too!).

Beautiful! It perfectly matches your wedding band too! :appl:
