Ughhh, wrote a more detailed post but lost it to timing out or something.

Quick and dirty background: Shopping for my e-ring the past 2 months. Realized I love the look of old cuts, particularly OECs (thank you PriceScope). Live in a Canadian city that doesn't seem to have jewellers that know much about OECs - got a jeweller to bring in an OEC. It was lovely and gorgeous, confirmed that I love OECs, they're just so charming and shameless. I didn't buy that particular OEC because it was too small and very expensive compared to what I've seen online. So, taking the advice of many PS-ers, I've contacted GOG and JbEG with my OEC 'wants', I've also been perusing ebay....Came across an OEC that look like it has potential. It's from a vendor that seems to get positive reviews on PS. No grading cert or appraisal, the stone is still mounted in a lovely antique setting. I asked and received additional photos and videos - can you help me decide whether this one is worth checking out?

The few stats that I have: OEC 1.19 H-I SI1 and at e-ring budget. I hope these attachments work...

I think it looks promising from the pictures.
Is there a return policy so you can see it in person?

I forgot to include that information, good question Mara.

Yes, they have a 14 day return policy.

H is a nice color for an OEC. Maybe worth checking out! Really hard to tell anything from those pics though.

Edited because I saw that there are no papers. Is the seller Em----? If so, that seller has overstated the specs on quite a few occasions here.

Nope, not Em....try D.Z.

I think I have seen this diamond in person before. The seller is good - very honest and tries to represent the diamonds as best possible. I would say the color gradings are better aligned with EGL gradings versus GIA. They have another stone right now in the same range that I think is gorgeous.

Charmy, do you remember your impressions of this ring/stone (if it is indeed the same one). I'll take another look at their inventory and see if anything else stands out.

oh if it's from DZ then I say check it out, they are great to work with.

also you probably already asked this but they have other things that are not listed online or on ebay and have access to other stones as well if you tell them what you are looking for.

This is my impressions too.

DZ have a few diamond postedon ebay right now that I think are really really gorgeous cuts. Not sure about the one you have here, I don't recognize it, but seems promising.

I have bought two old rings from them and they were right on as far as color and clarity. I think you'd have zero issues returning an item as well. So order it and then you'll know for sure!
