OEC bezel studs

I'm planning on purchasing an OEC pair for yellow gold bezeled studs. I contacted Caysie and she offered this pair and I wanted some opinions since I've never bought matched pairs of diamonds before.

She described these as:
0.9 ctw
H/VS
4.9mm and 4.95mm

My questions are
- will you notice the difference in facet pattern IRL?
- do the culet sizes look too different?

Edit: for those of you who helped me think about wedding day earrings and suggested studs with jackets, thank you for the inspiration! I eventually decided to use my budget towards the biggest pair I could afford that I could consider adding jackets to later.

These are beautiful stones! I highly doubt you'd notice the difference in culet size in person. That being said, it'll also be very hard to distinguish the facet patterns at this size...especially in bezels once on the ears. Not trying to dissuade you from going this route because I'm sure they will be gorgeous but many people opt for MRBs at this size since they'll perform better.

Thanks for your input! Could you explain a little more what you mean by perform better? I've only seen OECs in larger sizes in real life and love how they look, but if that's lost with smaller stones, I may go the MRB way. Would antique cushions also perform less well?

The appeal of OECs are those broad, chunky reflections of light but it's hard to appreciate that in stones of this size. The sparkle in OECs is more subtle so well cut MRBs just have a brighter sparkle to them. OECs are also cut deeper than MRBs so they will be slightly smaller. However, some people just like knowing they have OECs and if this is what YOU want then they will still be beautiful I'm sure!!

I don't think it's fair to say mrbs will perform "better" at this size - they will perform differently. I had OECs that size for studs and I could see the facets and I thought the performance was much better than previous ideal cut mrb studs I had in the same size. I don't like mrbs really in any size and my eyes can see the difference. I love those stones and would buy them myself.
