The extent of my diamond knowledge is what I learned from this website and replies from members (mainly yssie, thank you once again) when I inquired about diamond studs.
I think the Octavia Asscher diamond looks great (Congratulations Karl on the design) and would likely choose it for an engagement ring if/when the time comes (my girlfriend prefers square cuts rather than round cuts).
However, I was wondering what exactly causes the roughly $6,000 difference between the following two Octavia Asschers?

I noticed that the images for the second diamond seem to be much brighter than the first. Is that the result of the diamond itself or something lighting-related (I'm leaning towards the latter)?
They're roughly the same size and J/VS1 vs G/VS2.
I do think that the second on looks better than the first one but in an effort to satisfy my curiosity, I'm just wondering if anybody would be able to explain the reason for the difference in price.
