hi ladies.

a while ago i posted a thread asking to show me your bezels. apparently, it''s not such a hugely popular style...but i just love the idea of a bezel eternity or half eternity ring.

my original obsession was triggered by this beauty from tiffany''s. there''s something that''s both modern, yet traditional about the style. swoon.

but then i came across another designer that just sort of *spoke* to me. her designs are a bit more organic and have a unique look that i might be leaning towards...

here''s one example:

and here is another.

does anyone have any opinions? I'd love to have a ring like any of these to be a right hand ring. i like the idea of a band, because i don't wear a ton of jewelry and a band just suits me. i'm turning 30 this spring, so i'd love to give my husband some great gift suggestions

though i might possible be day dreaming a little too big...ha.

would love to hear what you think.

for some reason that third ring didn''t post

Those are all lovely and would look great on your hand. You can even get 2 or 3 in white and rose gold to stack.

Blue Nile just got a slew of new settings in, one being a bezel set! I like it alot!

Oh I love me a good bezel too lady! Of course I prefer mine to be milgrained

2 or 3 to stack. now i''m really day dreaming.

to prevent DH from a) having a heart attack and b) thinking i''m a very, very greedy lady, i think i''ll keep him in the dark about potential stacking potential

tacori! you have great taste

. perhaps a push present inspiration...

I LOVE that Tiffany Jazz ring! I had fallen in love with the Ritani single shared prong and the Jazz kinda gives the same impression but even better because instead of a prong between the diamonds it's another diamond! And being a bezel it feels safer to me. I would love one for stacking! (and I intend on getting one!)

With the smaller sizes of diamonds in an eternity, I love the scalloping effect that a bezel (or single shared prong) gives... it looks more delicate and feminine to me (though a typical shared prong in larger sizes also gives the scalloped effect).

ETA: That Blue Nile setting is very pretty!!!

You don''t have to get them all at the same time. There is 1 birthday, 1 anniversary and 1 christmas every year

I like bezels, too. I have the baby bezel (T&Co Elsa Peretti) studs (.10 ctw) and also this Jazz style ring.

I happened to go to Tiffany''s today, and I tried on the bezel sapphire earrings and several DBY necklace''s and bracelets. They are GORGEOUS!!!!

Awww...thanks you are sweet. Actually I was searching high and low for a pink sapphire, milgrained bezel set, in rose gold for my "push present" and can't find one ready made. The custom quotes were kind of high (made me think of OTHER things I would want for that kind of money). Sad b/c I think it would be beautiful. Perfect for stack rings b/c you don't have to worry about the stones eating up the metal. I plan on someday getting a bezeled diamond pendant. Also I am love with widget's OEC (I think) bezeled studs

I like my bezeled thin like Mara's new pendant.

my DH gave me a bezel-set pendant on our wedding day and i absolutely adore it. i wear it most everyday, because it''s such a classic design. your tessa ring sounds incredible, i hope that someone can bring the vision into reality at a reasonable cost.

lynn - i am jealous. that is the very close cousin of my dream tiffany piece. do you wear yours often? any complaints? think it''s worth the price?

i have superficially inquired about having a similar ring made by a jeweler, but haven''t gotten back any specific quotes. my birthday isn''t until the spring and i really don''t know if we''d have the budget for such an expensive present, so i don''t want to get too far into the custom route...

Yes, it''s my favorite RHR and I wear it often. It''s very comfortable and I have no complaints!

I''ve really been in a bezel mood lately, too! DH got me a DBTY style necklace for Xmas and now I''m itching for more bezels! I think I''m going to reset my studs in bezels...Maybe leverback dangles? As soon as I get these kids back to school I''m working on a few projects!

I'm craving bezel studs too! To go with my bezel bracelet, which seems only reasonable...

Not a great pic, but you get the idea. 3.30 cttw H SI1.

I would love a bezel eternity band or the Jazz ring to go with it too. I have more dreams than income, unfortunately!

And where are the pictures, Missy???!

BTW, what size are your studs? I just upgraded to ~1.5tcw and aspire to 2c tcw someday, but maybe it would be better (read cheaper!) to just bezel the ones I have and get the extra *oomph* in size that way. Hmmmmm...

(Oh, quick threadjack here... but you have gotta check out the recent photos of Boo I posted in our Ragdoll thread!!!! And it''s time for some more of Mr. Leo, too! Please and thank you!!!!)

I love bezels. I actually thought my setting was a bezel at first - before I understood what a halo was I thought it was just a special kind of bezel. I probably would have gone for a bezel in my ering if I hadn''t fallen head-over-heels in love with the setting I do own.

This is my current bezel-obsession. I *love* this band from Singlestone.....

Pics? Cummon, you know I''m a pic flake! haha! As soon as I get the kids back in school I promise I''ll post pics! I''ve been promising Skippy pics of a ring I got in Sept., too! I know, I know, I''m a bad PSer. I''ll try to take some pics of Leo today. He''s got something pink (*ahem* probably marker from DD) on his side and I think it''s so cute!

My studs are .62 and .63 each, so 1.25 cttw. They are pears, though. One is from my original engagement ring. They are bugging me as plain studs and I''ve had the itch to reset them for a few months. I think bezels would plump your stones up...Or the fab jackets that everyone seems to be getting. Cummon, Lynn, everybody''s doing it...Nothing like a little PS peer pressure!

Off to see Boo''s new pics!

Sorry for the threadjack Lulu!!!

I LOVE bezels. If I was going to get my e-diamond reset, it''d be into a half or full bezel in plat.
30.gif

I have a bezel-set .41ct AGS 0 pendant (that I ADORE!)...I need to take pictures of this weekend! I''ll add one to this thread.

Dani that is exactly what I was looking for except pink sapphires, rose gold, and NOT an eternity band. Too bad some designer doesn''t have the same dream as me....

Lovely, did you look on blue nile like someone mentioned? They have some nice, inexpensive (compared to Tiff''s) bezel rings.

Haha, Miranda, you are sooooo baaaaaaaaaaaaad!

Actually, I doubt that I will ever be jumping on the (melee) Jacket Train... while I certainly appreciate the way they "plump up" and "bling-out" a stud, I just don't think it's my personal cup o' tea. Kinda remind me of my mother's cocktail rings.

Now a thin BEZEL setting (but not a removable "jacket") miiiiight tempt me... but honestly, I would still rather wait and hold out for simple, plain, killer solitaire studs in a larger size.

Nothing can quite compare to that, IMVHO!

Dani, that ring is amazing!!!! seriously gorgeous. I'm going to have to look into that designer. thanks for the post

off to look at bluenile's selection...

mrs. mitchell - that arm is looking mighty purty with all those lovely pieces. i adore that bracelet, but your rings are fantastic, too!

Dani, that site from singlestone is incredible.

i wish they had a store on the east coast so i could drool over their work in person.

wow.

wow.

I know, LL. I would love to pay a visit to SS one day!

If you really like that ring (or anything else on their site), you should contact Ari (at SS). He is super nice, and will work with you....He understands that we are far away, and to see something online is very different from seeing it in person. When I contacted him about this ring, he told me that if he sent it to me and I didnt 100% love it, I could send it back, no questions asked.

I know its just a matter of time before I purchase something (probably that ring) from them. I truly adore their designs!!

that''s great to know that they have such a good policy. it''s really difficult to judge a piece based on a picture, regardless of how incredible that picture looks!

i''m going ot have to inquire about pricing...

A friend of mine got the first Tiffany Jazz ring you posted as her original wedding band, and I''ve got to say, I was not thrilled with it at all. She ended up returning it, and getting something made by her jeweler.

I''m not a huge bezel fan, but I LOVE Lynn B''s Tiffany Jazz ring!

I also vote for the half eternity ring. I just don''t understand putting money into diamonds that aren''t seen all the time. I wear my grandmother''s half-eternity wedding band, and I love it. Its comfortable, and it doesn''t turn, so you see all the diamonds, all the time.

Let us know what you choose!

LL-

I did inquire about pricing....the 1.5ctw eternity band in platinum is a little over 3k. You can also get the same band made in a smaller ct wt, and/or in white gold, which would bring the cost down some.

I am thinking of the 1.5ctw band as a 1 yr anniversary/30th b-day present. Only 9 mths to go....

LOL, my poor DH!!!
