NYC Appraiser Recommendations Requested

goobear78 - I am not sure if you are still checking this thread. I just wanted to let you know that maybe you should give David another chance (perhaps ask for a discount). He received our diamond today - appraised it and sent us the report all in one day. However, my boyfriend won''t show me the report (unless I am very nice today) and I didn''t get to speak to David personally. The bf said the experience was very pleasant and he is pleased.

I''m so glad to hear you had a positive experience with David and the great turn around for your report. I''m sure it was a mishap, but I didn''t like the way it was handled. Although, I did get a call from David telling me that he refunded my $250.00. I''ve heard nothing but good things about David, so I''ll just chalk it up to things happen.

I finally got to see the report and frankly I am a bit surprised at how much it cost. I am not saying bad things about anyone but I guess my expectations of an appraisal report is off. I wasn''t expecting 80% standard text. Maybe there is more to come once it is re-appraised after it is set. Perhaps, if we were there to have a full conversation - it may feel like it was more "worth" it. Maybe I am more picky than my boyfriend - he is perfectly happy. I want more analysis on paper .. at least up to what GoG provides free on their website.

So the bright side is maybe you can save your money and find a cheaper option now
