What a fabulous photo @missy. Your attic looks like it’s already half way there! So glad you got out cycling, but boo to cool temperatures. I’ve been willing some of our beautiful weather your way, but doesn’t seem to be working. Our house is painted in Sherwin Williams First Star, I’d say buy a tester of any of their paints, because they’re not particularly true to the colour charts. Remember our Morris Room Grey and Modern Grey exterior debacle? It’s taupe and beige

Have not been to where I think the key is yet.. And now I can't go because of the fur babies, its quite the ski trip in there and they are prescribed 10 days of total rest... I feel like Donald Duck when his car brakes down.. LOL

Thank you! I think the furries have caught something contagious, there is a few common nose things that are quite easy to catch, and a few for the lungs as well, especially in places where lots of dogs gather for competitions, as they spread very easily. But they are vaccinated, so they should have been able to not get it. But apparently no such luck.. But at least their overall health is fine. Just need to rest so it doesn't evolve into pneumonia..

Wow I had a bad coffee withdrawal headache this morning
I hate fasting for bloodwork
But it’s over for now and yummm my coffee that we’re drinking from our thermoses is so yummy
Loving our new thermoses because the previous ones did not keep it hot enough but the new ones. Five hours plus still steaming hot
Yesterday we had a great cycling day but my sciatica is flaring and my coccyx is still quite sore. I’m relying on the donut pillow still. TG it helps. For my sciatica I’ve stepped up the stretching but it’s painful. I wonder if the donut I’m using when I sit for my coccyx is exacerbating my sciatica. Always something and usually multiple somethings
@canuk-gal how is your pain? Any relief? I hope you’re doing much better and feeling well
@Scandinavian how are you feeling and how are your sweet pups and family? How’s your mom?

Hope the endo appts went well @missy. So sorry to hear your sciatica is playing up again, all you need on top of your sore coccyx. Oy,! Sorry my weather vibes are still not making it to the shore, although it was quite overcast here this morning, but cleared up this afternoon. The pool was still warm enough to go in, which we did after doing some gardening work. I hope Greg got back from Costco with all his limbs in tact
Poor poochies @Scandinavian, I have heard that the kennel cough vaccine isn’t very effective unless they’ve pinpointed the exact strain. Hopefully they’re getting better daily.
We won at Trivia tonight, and all the other teams cheered - apart from the sour pusses
Mowing tomorrow before going food shopping, we’ve got our furry surrogate grandson staying with us next week.

@Austina yay for winning trivia...you and Colin rock...glad your weather is behaving and we might be experiencing some decent weather today...hope to go cycling. Yesterday we went to the door store because finally I am getting a new front door. I have always disliked the one we have now. Our front kitchen door I love. Dutch door. So for the main front door I picked a lovely craftsman door and now Greg and I need to choose the color and make an appointment for them to come and measure so we can order. And today the bathroom painting starts. And this morning we are getting a visit from the original architect who put the addition on our house. He is going to look at our "attic" and give us an estimate for plans and work. Fun your furry grandson is staying with you next week. Best way to enjoy a dog without the constant responsibly and I am sure your furry grandson loves visiting

We did a lot yesterday. After the endocrinology appointments I worked out and Greg went to Costco. Then we went to choose a new front door and then went hiking. I slept well LOL. Today hoping cycling is on the agenda. And ice cream. Not warm out but high 40s right now gong to low 50s so it's borderline outside ice cream weather but hopefully we can make it happen.

The builder/architect came yesterday and said he forgot how beautiful our house is (LOL he built part of it. Not the original house that is from 1923 but the addition from 2007) and he took lots of measurements was here for an hour in about two weeks will give us an estimate. I don't think I could live through a constriction even though it is upstairs away from the main living areas and bedrooms. If we do this it will have to be winter and maybe we will go to NYC. I have to think hard about this but want to get that estimate first. The HVAC estimate was fair IMO but no clue what this estimate will be so ready for sticker shock lol
It's supposed to be another lovely day and maybe a bit warmer. But cloudier. Yesterday was so sunny it was delightful despite the winds.
And Jimmy gave us ice cream on the house. Sweet
Have a sweet FriYAY girls and as always Shelley is on my mind this FriYAY. We always enjoyed this day best of all. And Caturday Saturday of course. RIP sweet Shelley. I miss you

Busy week--VERY busy shift yesterday. I felt wiped out by the end of the day. But I slept well last night--didn't move until 0400! That is unusual for me. Supposed to be 18C today--so we'll get on our bikes for sure. Planning our Easter dinner, I'll cook this year instead of getting take out. I'll make cabbage rolls---but need to get the savoy cabbage first. I'll pick it up tomorrow along with dessert from a fav bakery.
@missy you guys are moving right along! Fresh paint and a new door and a reno estimate! Hope you see all your ferals soon. Your ice cream looks inviting! And I see the Dr. this week about my pelvic pain. Will be interesting to hear her opinion. Hope your neice has good things to say about her first year at University. One of my nephews is graduating this year with his B Comm! Very exciting!!

Ye Gods it was howling ALL night, I expected to get up this morning to find the roof had blown off!
What a pretty new kitty @missy, our friends had a black cat called Pepsi I’m sorry you haven’t seen Sasha and Shasta in a while, I hope they’re ok and have found somewhere else to chow down. Sounds like things are moving along with the house plans, hopefully it’ll all come together without too much disruption. I can’t believe your niece is almost through her first year at college, wow, time really flies. Has it been a good experience for her? Sweet Shelley, I hope her husband is doing ok. Please wish @MamaBee happy Easter, and let her know we miss her and wish her well.
It was 89 degs here today @canuk-gal but far too windy to be outside. I almost got blown into the pool yesterday trying to get the cover back on I’m sorry to hear your pelvic pain is still ongoing, and hope the Dr had some ideas on how to fix it. We’re getting takeaway this weekend, I’m not cooking ! Colin said he’s glad we’ve got a long weekend off Pretty sure this week will be busy with the puppy.
I had a long conversation with our friend T who’s wife died last year. He’s booked on the same cruise we’re going on over Christmas, he didn’t know, but he’s booked a cabin just a couple of doors away from us, what are the chances?

@Austina we are hitting 80 F today. When we went outside earlier to feed the feral cats the warm air hit me hard. Wow. It's too warm lol. I know I was crying about the cold but OMG it's so hot so early in the AM in April. I will wish Joanne a happy Easter from you. What a coincidence with your friend booking a cabin near you on the same trip and ship. I would say the odds were low that would happen and I am sure it is a happy surprise for you all. @canuk-gal I am glad you are seeing the specialist this coming week and I hope they are able to diagnosis you and provide you with relief...finally my coccyx is feeling much better. Took over 3 weeks. Crazy how a little fall can cause so much chaos. And a big congratulations on your nephew's graduation...it goes so fast.

I remember holding my oldest niece in my arms at the hospital when the youngest one was being born and she drooled all over my sleeve LOL. And now she is almost finished with her first year at Vassar. She loves college and now the youngest is looking. She is considering Vassar but is visiting other universities and has not yet decided where she will be applying and what her first choice is. I hope your nephew finds his dream job. It's funny. Greg and I don't feel old but watching them grow makes me realize yes, we are. LOL.

@Austina we are hitting 80 F today. When we went outside earlier to feed the feral cats the warm air hit me hard. Wow. It's too warm lol. I know I was crying about the cold but OMG it's so hot so early in the AM in April. I will wish Joanne a happy Easter from you. What a coincidence with your friend booking a cabin near you on the same trip and ship. I would say the odds were low that would happen and I am sure it is a happy surprise for you all. @canuk-gal I am glad you are seeing the specialist this coming week and I hope they are able to diagnosis you and provide you with relief...finally my coccyx is feeling much better. Took over 3 weeks. Crazy how a little fall can cause so much chaos. And a big congratulations on your nephew's graduation...it goes so fast.
Glad work was good despite being busy and that you had a good night's sleep. It feels good after a hard day to sleep well
I remember holding my oldest niece in my arms at the hospital when the youngest one was being born and she drooled all over my sleeve LOL. And now she is almost finished with her first year at Vassar. She loves college and now the youngest is looking. She is considering Vassar but is visiting other universities and has not yet decided where she will be applying and what her first choice is. I hope your nephew finds his dream job. It's funny. Greg and I don't feel old but watching them grow makes me realize yes, we are. LOL.

Ciao ladies!
The puppies are on the mend. Actually I must stop calling them puppies. The two youngest turn 2 years today. Officially adults now in the competition world. But husband is not so well... He is flat out because he hurt his back lifting something two days ago. Such a nice turn for the easter festivities... Not. LOL. He will be fine, and now he will remember that you need to have a straight back when lifting things! He is generally big and strong, so he doesn't really care to take care always. Now he will...
Hope you are having a bigger blast than me. I'm on the walls with boredom. Neither dogs nor husband can really leave the house. And the children are at our summerhouse with my mother (as we are soooo boring I send them there to do something other than stare at the walls), getting it ready for the summer. putting out the garden furniture etc.

Our newest kitty addition...Cola
She is now a regular
We have a few other new kitties coming here for food but cannot say yet they are regulars
Unfortunately we are missing Sasha and Shasta
We have not seen them for a long time
This is the hardest part of caring for the feral cats
We cannot protect them from all dangers
So so beautiful!

Good morning lovely ladies and happy Easter Sunday!
@Scandinavian thanks. Cola was waiting for me on the front porch. She was laying down looking up at the door. It was so sweet. And Pepsi was waiting in the yard right before the porch steps. Feeding them in the morning is quite the routine. We make 6 plates of wet and 6 plates of dry and put them in different areas. We have a small feeding area and a larger feeding area (Greg built both) and then I put a few plates of food on the porch. We also have a third feeding station at the other front porch which is a huge feeding station with dry food only. So that makes four areas we put food in for the kitties. We have different groups who eat separately from each other so this way we avoid fighting. But we have to go in and out of the house a few times and then put fresh water in the water bowls so it takes at least 15 minutes first thing in the AM to feed them. Not including feeding our indoor cats. Hope the pups are continuing to feel better and better. I consider 2 years almost still a puppy. Happy birthday to your sweet dogs. I spoke with Joanne again and told her you and @Austina wished her a happy holiday weekend and she sends her love and says she misses everyone here. I am sorry it's a boring weekend but girl, I welcome boring LOL. We are also doing "spring cleaning" and it's a lot. Happy Sunday XOXO
@MamaBee hope the trip went well yesterday and everything goes as smoothly as possible I have no clue where we would start when we decide to sell our NYC home. It's going to be an ordeal. Hello everyone else. We went cycling yesterday and it was hot. Today is a bit cooler. Greg is still painting the bathroom. A lot more involved than I remembered because when I was younger I did paint a few rooms (with friends) and I dont remember it being so complicated. He had to do the ceiling first (3 coats) and then used tape to do the edges of the ceiling and he hasn't even started on the walls yet really. This is taking way too long LOL. And it makes me nervous with him on the ladder. The cats get underfoot all the time. I think Jasper is trying to murder me by tripping me

Just a quick post for now
We went into NYC this morning and I had my mammogram and ultrasound and results are benign. Next recommendation is 1 year to repeat both. Whew. The ultrasound took over 45 minutes this morning and that worried me they found something. She called in her supervisor for her to repeat the entire US and so I am very relieved all is OK. For a few years there they were having me get ultrasounds every 6 months so glad to be back on a yearly schedule
Yesterday was a good cycling day. Today is too chilly for cycling plus Bobby is ill. He vomited four different times yesterday with two separate diarrhea episodes. I called my sister yesterday and we might bring him in this week. Today he has not yet vomited or had diarrhea but the day is young. We were going to bring him in today but she is in surgery all day and since he has not yet repeated vomiting/diarrhea we are hoping we can wait til she is in next which is this Wednesday. If need be we will go to the animal hospital here but my confidence is low regarding their expertise so would rather wait for my sister. Though the long trip might be too much for Bobby now. IDK I am very worried and trying to do the best we can. He gets so stressed going to any vet it's almost not worth it. If this is his time I want to give him peace but I just don't know. Such a challenging decision and I still second guess (on a daily basis) the decision to put Tommy down.

I’m so sorry to hear Bobby has been so ill, @missy. I’m hoping it’s just a 24 hour thing and he’ll be ok. You can only wait and see, and reassess as the situation develops. You will know what to do, your heart will tell you, and I know you will make the decision based on what’s best for Bobby. Im glad the mammo was A OK, and they made doubly sure that everything is fine. At least one less thing to worry about. Sorry the weather is not co-operating, it’s glorious here.
Our furry guest arrived yesterday, he’s a little whirlwind Confirms that we wouldn’t get a puppy, rescue oldie is far more our speed. He’s very good and doesn’t seem to be missing them. We’re keeping him busy, lots of new toys for him to play with, he slept well, but we got up early so we could give him a little walk before it gets too hot. He’s just been out in the garden doing zoomies
Flopped down now sleeping.

Hello everyone else. Hope all is well.
My dad might have pneumonia or a heart issue. The doctor made a house call yesterday and asked if he wanted to be hospitalized and o course he said no. So the physician ordered antibiotics for him and a chest X-ray is being done today hopefully. All house calls. Very nerve wracking imo and it makes me nervous he's at home alone with my mom. But he wanted to stay home so the doctor is letting him for now at least. I guess we will see what the chest X-ray shows.

Beautiful picture! I'm sorry to hear your Dad is under the weather but it's good to know his physician is so accommodating. I think when we get to our later years and develop a health issue, the most important thing to us is being with those we love and our home. The hospital is the last choice but I'm sure your Dad will do what is necessary if indicated. I'm thinking of you all and hoping for good news.
