I have found what I think is "my" stone. :) I am a 47 year old woman, never married, who finally found a wonderful man who actually wants to marry me. And so, I'm rather excited. :)

However! I don't wish to be stupid and jump just because the price is right.

I have become very smitten with a particular stone. Details:

Is the cavity and/or feather a cause for concern? Would the cavity be best under the prong? Any feedback would be very appreciated. Thank you!

I'd like to see the clarity plot from the GIA report, but it appears the cavity is right on the girdle atound 1:00 and visible.

I am so happy for you, too! But I think we can help you find a diamond that doesn't have a visible inclusion! Do you know what the budget is for the stone?

Circa $1300-$1400, so pretty small and not easy to work with. :( I'm all for any and all feedback, but in regard to this one, is it something that could be hidden under a prong? Or would that even be a good idea?

Thank you!

Is this a better choice?

Slightly smaller and polish very good rather than excellent. I'm so rookie I have no idea as to how important that is or is not.

Thank you so much for any guidance you can provide, even if it is to steer me a different direction. My concerns are eye-clean and sparkle.

The second stone should be fine. There's nothing wrong with very good for polish, but I wouldn't want any other very good. Keep looking, though!

I don't think that cavity is where a prong would go. Sometimes prongs can cover them and sometimes that isn't advisable depending on the type of inclusion. Most people want the arrows positioned symmetrically with the prongs, so I just don't see a prong going there in a 4 or 6 prong setting.

Oh, that is lovely, thank you. Having a little trouble with that website, but I'll persevere. :) Thanks.
