Does anyone have pictures of a plain wedding band that is notched to make the rings fit flush? I''ve seen pictures of it alone but I''d love to see someone''s real set. I have a RB solitaire in a 4 prong tiffany setting. Unfortunately because of the way my prongs are, it''s been difficult to find a flush band. I''m also trying to decide between a thin shared prong band or a plain band.

Thanks!

You know, I''ve tried on about a million settings over the summer, and I find that a small gap looks really good because it shows you have on two rings instead of one. And unless you solder them together, they won''t stay together all the time anyway! I did try on a notched band yesterday, and I just hated the way it looked alone. And there are rare occasions I might only want to wear the band. I think someone pointed out recently that if you look on the celebrity ring thread, many of them wear rings that are not flush. It''s okay if that''s what you really want, but the band will not look right to wear alone.

There are so many pretty shared prong thin rings on this site--they really make a diamond show well. I wanted to show you my set, which does sit flush almost all the way around. I have an additional eternity, which does not sit flush, but I kind of like it that way. I play and move it around- sometimes close to my knuckle, sometimes not. I like how it stands alone and doesn''t go flush. Just me.

I wear a shared prong eternity band with my ering and there is a small gap. I wouldn''t want a notched band because you can''t wear it alone. If the gap is huge, then maybe go for a notched band, but I like the gap actually. It''s what you are comfortable with. Can we see a pic of your ring??

Thanks for your replies. I will post pictures soon!

My original wedding set had a notched band. Diamondseeker is right that it doesn''t stay in place so I ended up having it soldered together. i ended up buying a plain 5mm WG band to wear when i wasn''t wearing my wedding set. here is a picture once I had the set unsoldered so i could wear my ring with and eternity band..you can see the notched moved slightly to the right:
