Ive been going round and round on diamonds im trying to reduce my cost and im going to try to cut as much on the setting but would like to get the best bang for my buck on the diamond. i have the following diamonds below let me know if they are any good please.

this process has been very overwhelming because just when i think i like something i change my mind. My budget on the diamond is about $4500 and then im thinking of going for a band that is a lil cheaper. I think im sold on the H&A but it seems to me that im getting less diamond but more shine? Should i just give up on the H&A and go another route and get a different style cut and more bang for my buck?
Thanks for the help
Steve

The setting is a pretty important part of the overall package. Inexpensive settings are fine if they are still pretty, but don''t sacrifice there TOO much.

You can get a VERY nice diamond ring for your budget.

Bang for buck depends upon your individual priorities. Yes H&A costs a bit more but consider what constitutes bang for buck.
- A well cut stone generally faces up larger size wise and visually than a somewhat larger stone of lesser cut.
- A well cut stone generally has better light perfomance and overall beauty...
An analogy might be how much wheat vs. chaff you get per dollar spent. What constitutes wheat to you is what matters in making your decision.

Another angle one might consider is future plans and options a decision leaves open. You might choose to get the best/biggest stone your budget affords and upgrade the setting to one she picks out later. Many people go this route. Others consider upgrading the diamond later and going with a more expensive setting now. Thirdly is of course a nicer setting with sidestones and a "smaller" center stone without much consideration of a future upgrade.
What type of rings does she like? If it is a surprise, how likely are you to pick a nice setting out that she will like? etc. etc. etc.

Just some food for thought to consider

The stones you picked are very good choices. Can't tell what the GOG are priced at but they are beautiful stones. If you put one of those in a classic tiffany setting for $300-500 you would be all set. And in the future you could upgrade the setting or the stone if you so choose.

But a 0.8-0.9 ct stone is very respectable. Personally I like the 0.91ct I. It's the most bang for your buck.

They all look great Steve, make sure the SI is eyeclean and that the strong blue fluorescence isn''t making the diamond look cloudy ( I doubt this is a problem with a hand picked stone like that) but it never hurts to check.
