Hi knowledgeable folk,
I have two IGIs of square (traditional) cushion cuts. One I bought and one I am trying to understand why the image on the report looks so different. I do not know enough about gemology or diamonds.
I used what little knowledge from the web and my uni geology course long ago.

I was trying for an old mine cut feel because I like jewelry from that period. (BTW if you can recommend me a semi mount and setting that replicates Victorian/Edwardian/Art Deco that is not too flashy please post or DM me).

My basic questions is about Culet as well as depth, length, crown, and angles. I know I packed in a full load there.
The Culet of both are listed as “pointed” as I have come to understand to be synonymous as none. But, that is speculative.

I have attempted to limit as many variables as I believe were relevant. Please disavow of this assumption if I am incorrect.

So, here is the diamond I bought:
DIAMOND A
Cushion cut 2.02 color=D clarity=VVS2,
Shape, cutting=square cushion
Style= brilliant
Cut=very good
Polish, Symmetry=excellent
Measurement=7.51 x 7.27 x 4.63 mm
HPHT

Girdle: Medium to slightly thick

DIAMOND B.
Cushion cut 1.03 color=E clarity=VS1
Polish, symmetry= Excellent
Shape, cutting=square cushion
Style= brilliant
Cut=very good
Polish, Symmetry=excellent
Measurement=5.81 X 5.80 X 3.71 MM
HPHT.
Girdle: Thin to medium.

Thank You for your time and consideration!
Melpomene :)

We can't judge by the numbers alone, especially with fancy cuts. Can you put them on hold and post the magnified vendor videos?

Exactly what @Kim N wrote. Need to see the actual stone to help.
