Hello everyone! My first post here, although I've been lurking here for a while. 
Here goes... I am from Finland and it is custom here that both persons of engaged couple wear engagement rings and the bride gets that diamond ring as her wedding ring. When we ordered my wedding ring (pear diamond on a simple platinum and white gold setting) I thought that my rings are going to sit flush. I was a bit disappointed first and even thought of getting a new setting. After wearing my rings for couple of days I came to the same conclusion as many of us here; I actually like it that way. You can tell that there is two rings and somehow it makes my pear diamond look even bigger. And like someone else here said it looks elegant too.
