I begin with "No one WARNED ME...."

of the horrible dangers of driving an automobile while "gazing" at my incredible new RB H&A AGS000 diamond from GOG!!!!!!!!!! I have almost crashed my car multiple times!! Near misses have occurred all over my city! LOL!!! I want so bady to post pictures of my new ring....but I (for the life of me) cannot figure out how to:
1. get my camera to focus on the ring/diamond. (and I usually can take really good close range shots)
2. get my camera to "capture" the hearts and arrows (like other posters have)
3. and finally....post them to this website in a way that they are not too large to view easily

Any ideas?

P.S. I am posting a separate thread for my experience with GOG! (They deserve their own posting!!!)

Oh no! Hurry and post pics!

Er, I mean, Oh no! I''m glad to hear you have avoided injury!

No joke, my sister in law DID crash her car when she got her new engagement ring. Thank goodness she was OK. She totalled her car though!!! Be careful, we are still teasing her about it 15 years later.

Can''t wait to see pictures! I had the same trouble but figured out a few tricks. I turned out all the lights except a small LED light I used to shine (not too close) on my ring. It seemed to photograph better with front light and no background light. Sunlight is great too. Also, be sure your camera is set to macro (the little flower on most cameras) so it will focus. Don''t get too close. If you have some halfway decent software you can crop it and blow it up a bit to get some closer shots after the fact. I also had to crop to get my pictures down to a size that would load here. Check out the link that strmrdr posted also. I''m sure there are lots of "gems" of wisdom there

Here is one close up I was able to get with my low tech method.

PS Be careful! They should put a warning on new rings- Do not operate heavy machinery-Lol!
