Hi everyone!
I am hoping you guys will be able to help. I have two rings that I know nothing about. They've both been round the house for at least 30 years and are just gathering dust. So was thinking of possibly selling but as I don't know what they are I.don't know where to start!! I'll put it to you guys like this.....I know as much about these as I do about my car.....my car is blue....!!! Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I've attached photos. They're both marked 14k the round one has no other Mark than that and the Black one has a mark that looks like either a JE or s sideways capital D I just can't get a photo of it as it's so small and fine. look forward to hearing your thoughts!!!

Hi, and welcome to PriceScope!

Your rings are lovely. Do they have sentimental value to you? Are either of them a good match for your personal style? If so then I do hope you'll keep them. Could you tell us a bit more about them, as I'm not sure what 'around the house' means - were they inherited? Found inside a wall or an old shoe box? Origin does not usually affect value (unless have documented provenance) but a story adds much to the mystery and romance of the pieces, and may help sell them, if that's what you plan to do.

A quick google search for "Art deco filigree white gold diamond onyx" turned up comparable rings, and that can help you determine how to price them. Other sites such as RubyLane, eBay and Etsy, as well as private dealers (vendor lists are easily searchable here on PriceScope) offer similar ones as well.

The white gold ring is a very popular style, with its Art Deco (Edwardian?) garlands and fine filigree work. The yellow gold (rose gold?) daisy cluster ring is a classic Victorian style, and depending on the quality and condition of the diamonds, it should sell easily, if well priced.

If you'd like to share some more photos with us, that would be great. You might want to clean both rings very gently in warm (not hot) water with a little dish soap, perhaps with a soft toothbrush if needed, to help show the beauty of the stones. Then if you can get some shots, it would be great to see them. Many of us on PriceScope love antiques and vintage styles - and we all love great photos.

Hi ISG
Thank you so much for your reply. The rings don't really have any sentimental value they were my mum's and I never once saw her wear them. She had them in a little jewellery box with some other items. We real took a ring she wore after she passed away and I wear it every day along with a chain she also wore. She never spoke about the rings but I can remember looking at them when I was little. I kept her jewellery box which has great sentimental value. It was the most beautiful and fancy thing I had ever seen as a child!!
The rings are not my style at all I like to wear small thin jewellery so I thought I might sell them and give the money to my Dad (who can't tell me anything about them either!) The descriptions you have are a fantastic start for me as I didn't even know what to call them. I'll give them a clean up and post some more photos. They are very beautiful just not my style at all!! I'll keep you posted!!
