NJ/ NYC/ Philly PS -GTG?

Hello all!

All this talk of GTG''s everywhere but our area is making me think- the NE PS-ers really need to meet up!! Is anyone interested in a GTG sometime this fall? I''m not the best organizer, so I will need some help planning this thing if we do do it!!! I would really love to meet some of you IRL! Im up for whatever!!!! If we are doing a weekend, it just needs to be a weekend that I''m off, since I do work every other weekend....

I was thinking sometime in October or November might be good, before the holiday season starts, and everyone gets super-busy!!! If we are talking about October, how is either the weekend of the 12th or the 26th? I would have to get back to you re: November though....dont know my schedule yet. but that may be too close to the busy season for alot of you, so we''ll see!!!!

I would love to attend a GTG in Philly or NY. What about getting together at the Borgata or one of the other AC casinos? That would be fun too.

Ok, Im going to keep bumping this thread so its doesnt get lost...Hopefully now that the weekend is almost over, more people will see it when they log on during the week. We should really try to get this together- it would be so much fun!!!!

I think AC is a great idea! Even better would be the weekend of Oct. 18-19, ''cause that is when the Atlantique City show is at the convention center. If you love vintage/estate/antique jewelry, it is a dreamland. I am heading there on the 19th, and I would love to meet some other PSers!

With this bar mitzvah and the house and the school calendar so crazy, I know I can get together in Philly but cannot travel. I have no weekends open between now and early January, we have bar and bat mitzvahs or events and then we are gone in December so my schedule is a bit koo koo. But if anyone not from the local area wants to come down, I am certainly here!

Oh Fata- That sounds awesome (I would love to go), but I have a wedding that weekend. Bummer!

Guys, Im sorry I havent been responding to this thread today. I am SICK as a dog- GI bug to the max!!!! This is horrible!!!! Any get well vibes that you can spare would be great....

DFan, I was hoping you could make it, but I totally understand you're busy. We will definitely have to plan another GTG in the spring when its more convienent for you to join us!!

For those that are interested in a NYC GTG, who knows which date would work for them, and/or any other suggestions for dates?

I can totally do NYC some weekend, but it would have to be 10/11, 10/12, 10/25, or 10/26 if it is in October. I could maybe also do 11/15 or 11/16 in November. After that, the holidays are going to hit hard.

ETA: Dani, sorry to hear you are so sick! I hope you feel better soon!

My only time in NYC at all is to go up with some girlfriends and stay overnight to see Regis and Kelly and shop. But I will have a group of girls with me. I cannot get away then. I am putting that off til after the bar mitzvah!!

Weekends are mostly family time for me, if we do not have an event we try to hang with the kids, it is getting impossible otherwise and I am already thinking about my oldest going to college!!

I am always around to get together in Philly though!

10/25 or 10/26 work better for me only because 10/11 and 10/12 fall on the Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend and we have OOT guests visiting.

Dani, so sorry you''re sick but I hope you''re better soon! Ginger ale, lots of stomach settling ginger ale. I thought it was an old wives tale but it works.

Thanks for your well-wishes, ladies...Im feeling much better today, but boy, did this bug SUCK the life out of me!! Im still not feeling great after 3 days!! At least the fever, body aches, and *major* GI issues are gone. Im just still really nauseous and have absolutely no appetite. UGH!

Anyway, enough about me. So, we have one vote for the weekend of 10/26. Can others make it on this weekend as well? We need to decide on a date first...

Girl you are AWSOME! I was reading Laurens GTG posts and was kinda bummed yesterday...Now...NOT so much lol. I should be able to make it to either of the locations seeing Philly is just over an hr drive for me. AC with minimal traffic is like 45mins and NYC is a 2hr train ride...WOOT!

I live in the Philly area and would be interested in something around here. AC is also an option, depending on the weekend. NYC also isn''t totally out of the question as I have been meaning to get up there for a while.

Wow, I''m so helpful with the decision making! I suppose overall NYC would be the most useful for PSers because of the diamond district. I could be wrong though.
