I hope we can do one in Philly after November 1st!!!

I''d prefer to wait a little longer than 10/26 if its going to be in NYC. But if the majority is in then go for it please! We can always organize something after the holidays are over in the Philly area.

Sorry I''ve been so late responding guys, I''ve been so busy!!!!! I just read through the whole thread... It sounds like 10/26 works for alot of people. So far it seems that me, Scarlet, lesco, and Fatafelice can definitely make it, right? Can others who are interested just let us know if you will be able to come- blushingbride, Harriet, CDinNYC, gemgirl, Butterfly, Sapphire cutie, Clairitek, and crystal heart?

It would be great if we can get a final head count and then start to plan our day. If you guys want to throw out some ideas too re: where we should meet, what we should do, etc. that would be awesome!!!

I just realized 10/26 is a Sunday though...not sure how much is open then...

Yeah, I was thinking that too...What does everyone else think?

Do you think 10/25 sounds better? I guess we could still find something for the 26.

Doesnt really matter to me that much, since I am off that weekend...We could do something on 10/25 during the day, if everyone wants...The problem with Sunday is that not much is open, including stores in the DD, if that''s where you guys want to go....

Yes, it does not matter to me either, I am free both days.
I have not been on the DD on weekends, so I''m not sure what would be open on Sundays. I am open to anything in terms of place, whatever works best for everyone.

Hey guys! 10/26 is good for me as well. I don''t mind 10/25, but it is a little bit harder for me with the kids, at least on Sunday my husband is off,but perhaps I can get my sister to watch them since she already lives in NYC and is onlly a few blocks from the diamond district.

I am not sure if alot of stores will be open on Saturday or open late as it is Sabbath (not sure if that is how it is spelled) and some of the stores/owners observe it.

But I am free anyway since I am on maternity leave!

If anyone wants to contact me by PM or by email, I am a member of the purse forum with the same username.

Also, we should decide on where to eat, etc.

I can''t wait to meet all of you! Don''t forget to wear your bling, I will bring my camera!

Sorry! I think I was the one who started the 10/26 thing, but I think I was thinking that was Saturday. That means 10/25 is actually better for me.

I''m good with either the 25th or 26th.

Ok! So, could most of you guys do Saturday 10/25 during the day then? We can meet up for lunch and then do whatever afterwards.....

Sure. But bear in mind that a significant portion of 47th St. will be closed.

On Saturday? I''ve heard before that a lot of the stores are closed on Saturdays because of the Jewish Sabbath. I just read an article that also says that most of the stores are closed on Sundays as well.

I would be interested in attending a GTG in Philly after our Wedding ( Nov 9 )... we have a two week window before things get crazy - Thanksgiving Holiday.

Maybe we can arrange something "local" for the Philly area ladies.. I know we have a few

This could work out for the Philly people pretty well (and anyone else who feels like making the trip down here). It seems like some of us will have a bit of a problem getting up to NYC in the next few weeks.

Dani- count me out for the weekend of Oct 25/26. I will be making a trip to RI the previous weekend and I''m sure that will take the stuffing outta me (I''m going up for my alma mater''s homecoming AND a marathon day of wedding gown and bridesmaid dress shopping). I don''t think that I''ll be prepared for another road trip the following weekend.

I am good for local after November 1, so count me in to anything we can get going!

If 10/25 or 10/26 in NYC is the final decision, I can go if it''s in downtown Manhattan. I should be OK for most other weekends - once we know the final date, I''ll have a better idea of whether I can attend. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

hey...sorry for the delayed reply. Let me know when its decided if its the 25th or 26th. if its the 25th, im working and cant make it. If its the 26th then Im off and can. If its the day I''m working then we''ll just have to have another GTG after the holidays lol.

True, but we''ll have our own pieces to gaze at.

Ok, we need to make a final decision, and I am going to need some help from you guys...I am so not good at finalizing plans on my own!! Do you all want to have the GTG sometime on October, or would you like to wait until November or whenever?

Dani,
I think I''ll just have to post my ENTIRE schedual here for the next few mos...just make sure its the days that I am off LOL. Seriously tho...I personally don''t care what month is picked. If it happens to be a date that I have to work...well, its not like there will never be another GTG for us... I will make SURE of that! Specially since I am waitning on 2 vintage blue/purple sapphire and diamond rings to get here myself lol...GOTTA show em off. So...Its ultimatly up to you guys.

I am still voting for 10/25, lunch and maybe something after. There''s no saying that there can''t be another GTG at a later date, is there? I love an excuse to get to the city.

Now, where should we have lunch?
31.gif

BTW: I have the current available on 10/25 headcount at: Me, Dani, Lesco, CDNinNYC, Madam B, and Harriet (?). Anyone else?

I can make it on 10/25 for lunch and gazing afterwards too! If we do Saturday, Tiffany''s and the other 5th Ave stores are open, and I''m sure there are some DD shops as well.

Le Bonne Soupe is right there and pretty yummy.

Count me in.

Scarlet,
You don''t want to know what I found on the table at Le Bonne Soupe.

Please don''t tell me that! It''s one of our favorite places!!!

I''m in for 10/25 or 10/26 also. On Saturday 10/25 I''ll be free except from 2PM until 3:30PM. Otherwise I can meet up anywhere, anytime.

I love La Bonne Soupe too! I hope whatever you found on your table was a one time violation!

How about Fig & Olive on 52nd between 5th and Madison? I''ve been to this one for dinner and the one downtown for brunch/lunch. They are a little slow, but the food is always good. Menu is fairly light and fresh.

There''s also a little Italian cafe around the corner from Crate & Barrel, but I cannot remember the name of it. I pass it so many times, and my sister and I finally went in for a quick bite. It was nice and cozy, great cappuccinos and sandwiches. It''s between 5th and Madison.

Ah, one of my favourite restaurants -- Bottega del Vino (Scarlet, it''s the sister restaurant of the one where we last ate). It''s awfully cramped though. I can stomach La Bonne Soupe, but we''d better make reservations. It''s always swamped.
