Niwaka Inspired Ring in New York?

So I was planning to get an engagement ring from Niwaka --But now they have closed their midtown store, and i have contacted them and asked if they are coming back and they said nothing. From what i understand they filed for bankrupcy in Japan and cannot ship out of the country.

Does anyone know how I can get Niwaka rings that will ship to the U.S.? Or if there are other designs similar to Niwaka that I can see in New York City?

I just visited Niwaka in Japan back in September. As far as I know they are not filing for bankrupcy, but they''re not sure when they''ll re-open the NY store.

The only way to buy an engagement ring there is to pick it up yourself, or if you have a friend there have him/her pick it up and ship it to the US. And no you cannot just buy the setting, so you must buy both diamond & setting. But I wouldn''t bother purchasing from them unless you''re thinking of stones less than 0.6ct because the price delta with market rates in stones for anything greater is outright ridiculous. welcome Sarah- Etienne, is such a pleasant man to chat with and very very responsive. I hope you get to work with him, I ended with another jeweler as the design I wanted was already made and stock so I went with them, although I would not hesitate to work with him on his bezels or even get one of these later in the future..
