So I''m actually moving onto the next step of picking out the stone for my e-ring. Very VERY scary indeed...

I like the second diamond best out of the ones shown, do you have any other info such as an Idealscope image? Is this an in house diamond, and if so, do you know if it is eyeclean to your comfort level?

Ditto Lorelei really. :)

I like either of the first two diamonds... but definitely not the third, which is not as well cut.

I would also choose the second diamond if you wanted me to pick a favourite. :)

Another vote for the second. I ran the numbers for stones 2 and 3 through the cut adviser tool on Pricescope (have you done this already? I couldn''t do stone #1 since there was no crown angle), and stone 2 came back with a score of 1.4 (ie, "excellent within Tolkowsky ideal range). It came back with "excellents" for light return, fire, and scintillation, and "very good" for spread.

The third came back with not-so-good results -- 5 ("good -- only if price is your main criterion" according to the cut adviser). Specifically, "good" for light return, but only "fair" for fire and scintillation ("very good" for spread).

So personally, I would go with #2. I have stones with similar HCA results, and they are beautiful.

Thank you very much for your replies. I did request for more info and am waiting for hear back. AGI report on the first stone was a scanned image that had some of the numbers cut off, and I also asked if they can provide me with some images as well as confirm if they''re eye clean.

I especially wanted to get the completed info on the #1 to make sure #2 is the better buy. It''s only $200 difference but just want to know why I''m paying for that

I haven''t taken advantage of the Cut Advisor yet, I''ve been a bit overwhelemd with all the information I''ve been getting in the past few days

I''ll give it a try once I get the missing info on the stone #1.
