The Danish Royal Palace confirmed on Friday that Crown Princess Mary is expecting twins.

The announcement comes just one day after the palace refused to comment on speculations that the 38-year-old wife of Crown Prince Frederik was expecting her third child.

According to an official statement from the palace the birth is expected to take place in Rigshospitalet at some point in January.

The new arrivals will join the couple's two other children - son Christian, who was born in 2005, and their daughter Isabella, born in 2007.

Congrats to TRH! I know they wanted lots of children from previous interviews.

So do you think this is a natural twin pregnancy? I don't know that twins run in the Danish RF or in Mary's. They already have two beautiful children so would they do fertility drugs or in vitro?
