Hello all, this is my first post. I recently purchased a round brilliant diamond from a jeweler who will be doing custom work. I purchased a 1.68 very good cut/I color, SI1/ ex polish/ very good symmetry/no fluorsence.

Measurements are :7.45 - 7.53 x 4.70 mm

I purchased for around 12K. Total amount with the ring was 13,200. Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on the overall price/value?

The price sounds about right if it's been certified by GIA or AGS. If it has another certification then you may be looking at a lower color and clarity diamond in which the price would be too high.

Yes it's been certified by GIA. Good to know thank you for the response.

Hi there OP,

My search came up with a range of $10K to $12K for around a 1.7 carat, I, SI1, very good cut, no flourescence round brilliant. I didn't clarify if you were referring to a round brilliant, so I just wanted to state that in case you have a fancy cut.

Edit: Goodness me, you did state it was a round brilliant. Well there you have what I found anyway. :))
