Ok so maybe I''m not all that"newly" engaged (proposal was 12/23/09) but it still feels new to me!
I have been lurking on this site for the past few months and have finally decided to post my ring. Even after seeing some of the gorgeous bling on here, I still LOVE my ring. My fiance did an excellent job of picking out the diamond all by himself (I had no idea he was going to propose). But he does know that I like quality over size when it comes to jewelry.
First, a little background about the ring: A few summers ago my BF was in St Louis for work for 6 weeks and his company paid for me to go out there to visit him for a week. So while he was at work one day, I decided to go shopping (of course!) and stopped in a little jewelry shop called James Durbin jewelry. I saw this ring and I fell in love with it. Even though we hadn''t really talked about marriage and weren''t ready at that time, I decided to take him back to James Durbin''s store the next day so I could show him this ring. I like simple looking things, and while this is somewhat modern, I think it is a look that I will always love (that is, if I don''t decide to upgrade
. Anyways, my fiance contacted James Durbin last fall and worked with him through email to re-make the ring that we saw a few years ago (awwww). The diamond was purchased from James Allen''s website.
