An update! The kittens are now 12 days old and are so fantastic. It''s the only time you''ll ever hear me say that I''m not looking forward to taking a vacation. I''m leaving Wed evening to head back to the States for some quality family time. I''ll be gone for 2.5 weeks -- when I get home, I reckon I won''t even recognize these little guys any more! I made my partner promise to take photos for me though.

Anyway, they''re growing like weeds. All are happy and healthy. Momma cat has decided that she would really prefer to keep them under our bed (so then she can sleep in bed with us and not feel guilty for being away all night!). We''ve woken up twice now to mewling under the mattress. We''ve put them back in their nest though (much to Momma''s dismay) because under the bed is just crammed with stuff and simply not kitten-friendly!

I actually saw the first kitten open her eyes. The first was the last born, our little ginger girl. I was laying in the crate (half in, half out, as I often do), and she just rolled over, yawned, stretched, and opened her eyes. It was brilliant! I put my finger over the flash and took a quick snap of her, of course.
