I''ll take some more photos of them this evening - I can already see they''re bigger. I''m convinced now that the white one is the only boy, but he''s starting to get a bit cream colored now. I was told they grow quickly, but I didn''t think that I''d actually see the difference day to day!

When we got Hera, I researched cat labor in case something went wrong. I knew that most cats give birth in the middle of the night and didn''t want to have our rescue organization foot the bill for an emergency vet call out. One of my coworkers told me about how she found her neighbor''s cat in the middle of giving birth and she had a kitten stuck (must have been the first one). They rushed her to the vet, she had an emergency c-section and survived, but lost all of the kittens.

I wanted to inform myself the best I could to keep something like that from happening.

It sounds calm and well thought out, but even after reading all about what to do to turn the kitten, etc - when the second one got stuck, I thought I was going to throw up!

My hands were shaking and I felt so helpless. I did my best and then just prayed. I''m very thankful everything turned out well...and now I''ve got these little gorgeous babies to keep me company!!
