I just found an online company called Signedpieces. The items listed on the website are significantly cheaper than retail prices. Are they used items or knockoffs?
They are very legit. They will only buy designer items with all of the paperwork AND in new/mint condition. Very freindly customer service. Great company to buy from or sell to.
There are plenty of like-new copies of famous makers that are floating around which are not legitimate. How anyone can be sure on each item is what one might question. Were the pieces stolen, knocked off copies with phoney documents, or really legitmate? I sure don't know, but the only way to buy a name item and be 100% sure of authenticity is to buy it from the right store of the maker themselves.
This site may have super values and they may be totally ethical. I hope they are. What do they offer as proof of the authentic nature of their pieces. If you buy one, how about going to the authorized retailer to authenticate it? Will they allow that to happen and guarantee the result?
"Signedpieces" has been selling their high end pieces on ebay for several years, with 100% customer satisfaction--as recorded on their feedback. As previously mentioned, most of the "estate" and brand new pieces are accompanied by their original boxes and warrenties; in addition "Signedpieces" offers a 100% money back guarentee.
I believe, on their auction site, they also have listed their NY address so one can view the pieces in person.
Ivivsited this site and find that it does look perfectly satisfactory. The descriptions look accurate and not misleading. The prices seem very fair. My doubts are very much reduced now that I have seen it for myself. It is wonderful to see how the Internet seems to bring honesty into dealing with consumers in so many cases..... Have fun shopping.
This is only hearsay--not personal experience--but SignedPieces is one of only , maybe 2 eBay jewelry vendors that seem to be reputable and consistent. They may be worth checking out. but Old Miner is right--always ask for proof of what you are buying and get an independant appraisal, especially if it is a significant stone.
Personally, I would seriously consider buying from them if is aw something I liked.
