Get these two. One of you gets a 1 ct and the other gets a 1.1 ct. Same dealer, so you can ask for a deal. They are not Canadian -- I do not know how to search for a good Canadian diamond. They seem to be in less supply so it is harder to get specific properties. Maybe someone else knows.

talk to SteveL at Dems Jewelers. dems They carry branded Canadian "Canadia" diamonds. i am actually looking to buy one myself. there are other brands out there, you just have to look. They are a little more expensive, because of the certification process i am sure takes more time and money, but also because they come with a "no-conflict" garauntee. This is something that consumers are going to have to pay for if they truly think the problems in Siera Leone et al. are worth having a say about. i for one do think so.
