Hi All!

I''ve been lurking for quite awhile and all of your combined e-ring knowledge has really helped me figure out my dream e-ring. My bf & I are still in the planning/researching stage, but I have my heart set on a RB set in a thin pave band (i.e. 2mm or less) with pave on a 4 prong "basket" setting. (I am still learning the "lingo" so apologies if I''m not stating that clearly/correctly.)

I love the Michael B Petite Princess ring (and although we are looking in the 2 - 2 1/4 ct. range I read on a PS post that Michael B will still do the petite style although they suggest it for only less than 1.5cts). However, I really like the basket like setting of the Ritani Endless Love, but don''t like the holes on the inside of the Ritani pave bands (which Michael B doesn''t do). So I know Leon Mege could custom make what I have in my head and gets rave reviews on PS, but I''ve read that he doesn''t recommend wearing a matching thin pave wedding band with his custom rings because of scratching, etc. and I really want a matching band... What I have in my head is also similar to the Vera Wang thin pave ring that is now discontinued but not quite so thin.

Thus, finally to get to my question - do any of you ultra-knowledgeable PSers know of an existing designer''s design of something like this out there? Or does anyone know if Michael B will set his designs in a basket more like the Ritani basket?

As you can read, I am not all up on the lingo yet, so I''m hesitant to try to describe this to a designer via email or phone to see if they have anything like what''s in my head. Any help would be super appreciated! :)

Can I ask why you don''t like the holes? Seems silly not to get exactly what you like just because of something you can''t even see.

Michael b won''t change the head on the rings, a while back I wanted to do the same thing you are thinking about and asked and they said no. I think Leon would be your best bet. If you are not doing 3 sided pave there isn''t any scratching to worry about. Leon doesn''t recommend wearing a band with any of his rings really, but he will do it. gingerbcookie has a leon 3 sided pave e-ring and matching wedding band both made by Leon and wears them together. She''s had the set a few years now and not reported any problems.

The holes are in the Ritani b/c those rings are cast and not handmade. Some actually prefer holes b/c they say it makes for easier cleaning.

I know it is kind of silly, but its just a complete personal preference. And for such a big purchase I''m just looking to find exactly what''s in my head! :)

Thanks for the suggestions! Since you said you were looking to do the same thing awhile back, can I ask what you ended up going with?

Do any other PSers out there have a Leon with matching WB that they wear together w/out problems?

i actually ended up with a daniel k ring but was in the process of strongly considering the Michael b set.

are you wanting 3 sided pave? there are others that wear Leon''s with wedding bands but ginger is the only one I know with a 3 sided set from him.

Sorry. Should have specified- I''m only looking to do one sided pave...

then I would go with Leon to get the exact look you are wanted. one sided pave rings are save to wear next to each other. I''d just be upfront with Leon that you do want and intend to wear a wedding band.
