Newbie to Pearls... authentic Mikimoto?

Hi Everyone. I'm a newbie and I just received a single pearl Mikimoto pendant as a gift. I'm wondering if it's authentic. I'll get pictures soon of mine, but here is a link of a chain that looks similar (same clasp & hallmarks). The pendant is different than mine, but for Mikimoto experts, does this clasp look familiar? The eBay link does not show any hallmarks.

Mikimoto's hallmark is an M inside a clamshell. I'm sure they varied the chains once in a while.
