Newbie pearl help please

I don't really know much about pearls. I was considering a freshadama strand from pearl paradise or an aa+ strand from the pearl outlet. Unfortunately, I don't know which vendor would have the best strand. My main concerns are it's shine, the pearls all relatively the same size, and approximately 8mm. Also what's a pearls orient? This is my first time bugging a strand so I have no idea what to look for. Thank you so much for anyone that decides to help me! (:

Also, would their be a huge difference between aa+ freshwater vs freshadama from pearl paradise?

If it were me, I would go with the Freshdama.

Aa's will not be round, they'll be off round, and luster will be less. I'd go with the freshadama too if those things are important to you.

Also if you want good luster, maybe see what you can find in metallic freshwater freshdamas!
