Newbie OEC questions

Hello. It's my first post and I can say this forum has been super helpful. I love antique cut diamonds and now I know what lazy facets are and now I have a better chance of determining diamond quality with my own eyes. However the one thing I've had a hard time researching is pricing for oecs. The price per carat on this site is showing up blank for me when I try to look. I also haven't had much luck finding an old thread about pricing. Can anyone please give me any info or direct me to a good source of information on what to expect for pricing?

As far as I know, there are no exact guidelines/standards for pricing OECs. A lot of jewelers will price them similarly to round brilliants, and a lot will discount them because they are not as popular in the mass markets. So pricing really varies. Your best bet is to look around until you find what you want in your budget understanding of course that all jewelry-grade diamonds are a luxury item and are priced as such.

Thank you so much for the info. I bought a small oec recently and I am hoping I didn't overpay. But I guess as long as I love it, there is no price that would be too much. I bought a .4 carat oec in a 14k gold setting for $150. Based on the color and clarity I think it will be (it hasn't arrived yet) and the rb price chart, I think I didn't overpay too much. Thanks again for your help.
