You guys must go to Mark''s site and view the couple of new rings he put up in his February portfolio. His work just keeps getting better, if that is at all possible.

Mark''s photos are really good, but in person they look far better.

Cameras just don''t pick up all the dispersion and true appearance so well.

The first two rings, in the Feb update, I personally saw, checked them out before sending them on to their new "parents",

Rockdoc, I would love to be in your profession! MM's eternity ring really looks spectacular...but I must admit I am kinda falling in love with the cushion cut ring...yummmy.

Well Doc I think you deserve 3 Rocks on his website and since you examined mine and there is no other Marquise on the site i think the choice is obvious.

The cushion was one I checked over in person too. That was one incredible diamond. Was an H&A one too.

I do have the best job in the world.. Getting to play with all the incredible pet rocks and seeing some really incredible rings.

Sometimes, it is a little depressing to have them leave.

Got a bunch of pet rock critters to work on tonight and more coming tomorrow.

Also have some to ship to Mark, as he is ready to set them and one of Mark''s just left and another one tomorrow.

Rockdoc,

Did you get to see the attached Mark Morrell ring in person? I wonder how it looked....

(See "Attached File" link at the bottom of this post).

Thanks!

Once you and Mark have decided on the mouting, I will be providing him with all the data pertinent to the stone, so he knows all the angles, girdle thicknesses, etc.

Just remind him that I have all the data he might need.

I've seen a lot of the mountings that Mark has made that aren't yet pictured on the website.

The planning of how the stone will be set, and the engineering that Mark does, is just incomparable. On some projects we've discussed so many details, that he pays such careful attention to. Consumers just don't realize how much effort he dedicates to their rings.

He truly works from the heart, and I do my best to do that too, so we get along famously.

OK so spill the beans about the cushion diamond. Do you remember the stats cuz it looks pretty big. Do you mean that it was a H&A diamond, is that possible in a cushion?

I don''t think so. But the one I am shipping to him is getting a very similar design, and that one will be back here shortly.

It was 3.50 carats.

Yes it was an H&A cushion.

Here''s arrows pic before it was set.

His work really is amazing!

YEAAAAAAA!!!!! I got him. We chatted along time. He is going to do my Rock. Nice fellow! Mark has a message to all pricescopers. He says that we all must be sure to maintain our rings at least every six months or so to ensure all is kosher with the setting/prongs ect.

He says he wants his rings to last a lifetime but no ring can last w/o maintainance. I said I would remind you all.

Now I have spent 3 hours trying to figure out my ring size and have little papers and strings everywhere. Gee whiz-going to pretend to buy sumthin tommorow and use a jewelers set.

Hey we may get snow tonight!!!
