Now the 0.64 carat Songea Sapphire. She was so hard to photograph but she''s a very sultry purple/red.

The spinel is very vivid! It really popped among the greens. The rest look quite nice too, frog included.

Thank you! I wish I could take closer pictures. Any closer and my photos go blurry.

I hope to have a new camera soon, just have to quit buying so many gems.

I should have made it a little more clear in my posts, just in case, the first two stones, the two trillions, are the new stones and both are from Gene the other ones are just because I was having too much fun with the froggy.

I would be so worried that one flick of the leaf or jump of the frog and the gem is gone!

Gem 298 - Pink Spinel - 1.15 ct. A nice pink stone with a touch of orange cast. Cut in a fancy trillion shape. There are a lot of facets on this stone. 6.9 mm. Color 4, Clarity 4

On my receipt it states it''s from Tanzania.

I did drop the Barry tourmaline. It was very easy to find though, thank goodness! If I''d have dropped the Sapphire it could have been a different story.

My attempt at a mochi style lineup...I failed miserably! New spinel is on the far right. Barry''s stones are the next two from the right and then the new Sapphire and then my vallejo stones.

Love those new stones! More pics please! Do you have the macro turned on so you can get a close up? Don''t zoom with the macro and it might stay clear.

That''s okay. It only means that you need more practice and so we expect more photoshoots.
