New setting....need opinions

Hi! My husband and I are re-newing our vows and he wants to get me a new setting. I found this one and I really do adore it! However, would it look ok with my current amethyst wedding band and with the princess cut diamond kite set? I have had some friends say yes and others say no..lol I am torn! Opinions?

The setting isn't really my taste in general, but I don't like it with the kite set because the setting mimics the round in the center, the swirl around the head won't make as much visual sense with a kite set.


You know who makes gorgeous unique kite settings? Maevona!

I actually really adore your current setting. I think it is stunning as is. Would you get that new setting perhaps as a right hand right with a purple sapphire??

Regardless I think you should do what you like!!! If this new setting is the one that floats your boat then go for it!

I adore your current set! I definitely wouldn't reset it. I'd use that reset money for diamond studs or another diamond stacking band or maybe even an upgrade in size of your center stone if you'd like. But your setting is gorgeous and I wouldn't mess with a good thing!

I agree that the new setting is a little too swirly with a pointy princess. Maybe a setting that looks more like the details on the wedding band?
