I thought I would post my new setting for my e-ring finally! I have had it for a few weeks, but the picture taking process is so tedious! You know 25 pics for 1 good one!! Well diamond shrinkage set in really quickly after I got the Radiant stone in Dec. 2003, but the diamond prices had gone up so much I just couldn''t justify an upgrade yet. SSOOOO, I ended up resetting the Radiant in a setting that I think really makes the stone pop! And it goes better with the beautiful half eternity bands that my husband got me for Christmas!

The main stone is 1.71 Radiant cut F VS2, the new setting is F-G VS total ctw 1 ct, bands are 1ct each 11 stones, F-G VS. Total ct wt approx. 4.71ct!

Are you kidding me?? There is tons of fire coming off your radiant. It''s blinding, and those eternity bands are awesome!!! Quick someone get me some sun glasses!!!

Are you tired of it yet???

One with only one band, which I like to wear as a change! I love the versatility!!!

Here is a side view of the head. We took the head from the original setting because I liked it so much. The bench jeweler refined the prongs though. I love how it turned out. He ended up making them pointed and put a small crease in them!!! I will see if I can post some pics of the old setting.

Great photos, too! You must be soooo happy!

OK this isn''t the best (I didn''t yet have my close up attachment for my camera!), but you can see the prongs are kind of ball like and they weren''t even either!! I like the new setting much better!!

This is the last one for now!!

Wow- I like the new setting Icelady. It looks lovely with the bands too.

(ofcourse- I liked the "old" setting too)
Maybe you could put a colored stone in it.

Thanks everyone!!!

Sevens-I sold the other setting to my hairdresser!!! She fell in love with the setting the first time she saw it. She has a (approx) 3/4 ct Princess cut that looks fabulous in the setting! If she had not purchased it I definitely would have put a Tsavorite in it!

Thanks again, you guys are the best!

Wow! It looks really neat with the two side rings! Thanks for posting the hand pics - I think they show off the ring better that way....

Of course it would look gorgeous any way you took pictures of it!!!

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

Vtigger, my husband is thrilled that we did not upgrade my white diamond, more diesel for the other ''White Diamond'' for the summer!!

Kaylagee, thank you, and you have a gorgeous ring yourself!! With just the right amount of ''gap''!!!

Mara, after posting in the ''gap'' thread I thought I might catch some flack for not having posted the new setting, so I got busy!!

That new setting is great--and your stone is so full of firely crushed ice!

Good lord! The new setting showcases the radiant to such a dramatic degree compared to the old setting. Great choice! I love the tapering of the band at the stone. Gorgeous!!!

FireGoddess, the stone actually looks bigger because of the new setting. I love how it tapers in at the stone making it look like an upgrade!! HAHA! Not exactly, but close enough to satisfy my upgrade jones (for now)!!

Thanks again!
