Shape: Round
Carat weight: 1.01
Cut: Ideal
Color: H

I've been looking at E-G before, but with a stone like these I shouldn't notice any difference going to H, right? Any other thoughts on these stones?

As a comparison, before I was set on a .9c, G, VS2 for about $1k less: http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/G-VS2-Ideal-Cut-Round-Diamond-1371230.asp

Thanks!

Both look promising from the numbers. Ask for an idealscope image and if the stone is eye-clean. Do not assume all SI1 are eye-clean, most are but not all.

Color-wise, some may be able to tell the difference between E and H, especially unmounted and side by side. Since I am not you, I cannot say for sure.

Ditto..

If you were fine w/ a G I think for the vast majority of people moving to an H in these sizes will be of no consequence, visually, but there's only one way to be absolutely sure.

As SC said numbers on the GIA report don't tell you the full story - your rep's thoughts and IS will give you more info to help make your choice. Decide what eyeclean means to *you* - clean from face-up from 6"? 15"? from the sides as well? and have your rep vet the stone to your specifications, whatever they are. I know JA has some strict policies on telling a customer if a stone is eyeclean or not - not sure what they are, but you can ask. Would also confirm the feather in the second is not a durability risk - it shouldn't be, in a GIA-evaluated SI1, but as it's the grade-making inclusion and it's near the girdle I'd double check w/ a professional just to be sure.
