New Rainbow moonstone...

I got this from Thaigemhouse on Ebay. It took awhile to receive... It is 2.12cts. It looks nothing like the vendors picture...and it is NOT VVS....but it is pretty none-the-less. What do you think? Is it worth of setting?

I think the swirls going through the gemstone gives it character. They are not inclusions... the inclusion is on the side of the stone which could be covered by a bezel setting.

I love it too. I am having stacking ring made in mine son''s and daughter''s birth stone which happens to be a moonstone so I love seeing this in the flesh (so as to speak)

If you do decide to set the moonstone, consider setting it on a dark background so as to emphasise its colour play.

I will definately make sure to do so. I have a few online friends who have moonstones and they have set them onto a flat background to play up the color.


Thanks everyone! I am pretty clueless about moonstone myself...but I thought I did pretty well with this stone. I kinda like that it has the inclusions in it. It lets me know that A) it is real and B) it gives it character
