After seeing the agate thread here I went down the rabbit hole, as my nearly 2 decades long collection was completely absent of them. I tell ya, one is more beautiful than the next and it is incredibly hard to pick! I narrowed it down by choosing two that are still "small" enough to turn into rings in the future, if so inclined. The largest measures 23x16x5mm the other 24x14x4. I also wanted some that were more "cool" toned with less brown and orange. I think they are so awesome, especially since they cost less than a Dairy Queen stop after school for my boys, lol.20220906_091751.jpg20220906_091710.jpg20220906_091738.jpg20220906_091721.jpg

Thank you. I was thinking I could also do a silver cuff bracelet, as I usually like to be able to look at my jewelry, lol.

Yes! Fascinating stones! Grey agates in look great in silver - it gives a cool, understated look. My grandmother had a beautiful bracelet of grey/white banded agate in silver. Sorry, no pics, my sister has it now (and wears it).

The stones are similar but not matching in shape. So putting them together may look not quite right. So maybe, if you want to be able to see both, bracelet and ring.

I am a big lover of all things natural agate! And your stones are just mesmerizing. They appear to be more of a "plume" agate, which is especially unique. I think I've showed this pendant before, but it's a large picture jasper (agate) from Oregon, also known as deschutes jasper, set with 18kyg, platinum, and diamonds. The stone reminds me of a desert night sky, which I'm assuming is why the designer chose to accompany it the way he did. I am drawn to anything celestial, so I'm quite fond of this piece. Glad to see other PSers collecting these stones!

That is such a cool piece!

Thank you! As you said, these stones are dirt cheap compared to what we usually collect around these parts. That's why I love agates... they are natural, durable, and come in all colors (undyed). So you can get really creative with the mounting designs. Will you play up the "coral reef" scene in your stones? :mrgreen2:
