I just scored this cute 5 stone band from Sin City and was curious about the assay marks. I would appreciate any help! They are hard to see because there is a crack going through some of them.

I see a crown, 18, no idea, T. I assume the first 2 means 18k gold but not sure of the rest.

It's hard to tell by your photos. The crown is the British gold standard mark. 18 is the karat.
I think the third symbol is a panther head, the symbol for London.
The style of the T is important, as it could swing the date 100 years in the wrong direction. It's really hard to tell from your photo, so look carefully!

Thank you! I’ll have a look and will also try to get some better pics!

That was so helpful! I definitely see the little eyes and ears so I do think it’s the panther. It came down to 2 capital Ts.

The T on the top is 1734 and the bottom T is 1814.

I tried to take some more pics of the T but it’s so hard to tell with the big crack!

The shape of the area surrounding the “T,” which is called the cartouche, is as significant as the letter itself. It looks to me like the cartouche on your ring has clipped corners like the 1814 symbol.

ETA - what a lovely ring!

Thank you! I was leaning towards the one with the clipped corners as well!

Style wise I would lean to 1814 as well over 1734. Nice band! Looks super bright!
