Hi, I''m new to this place. There is just a wealth of information here! I would like to upgrade my original engagement ring (is that e-ring?) next year for my 15th anniversary. I will be doing a ton of reading here to research beforehand. I am interested in a 2 ct. ring but am not sure if I would like a princess, cushion, or oval.

I do have a question - I just saw a website featured on a morning show called idonowidont.com. It''s where people sell their rings, usually because of broken engagements. The site owner has a gemologist who inspects the rings to make sure they are authentic diamonds that actually live up to the standards that the seller states. The money doesn''t go to the seller until the ring is approved by the gemologist. I have seen a few rings there that I love and wonder what you all think about the site. I''d love to have my own ring designed, but I wonder if I should go with the big discount offered at this site if I find a ring I love. Any input? Thanks so much!

Lorelei, thank you so much for those links!! That is just awful that they stole pics from people here!!!! I noticed that the first time it was brought up was in March of '08. I wanted to say that the same woman (Anna) has a lot of stuff on there now. I noticed her username because she has so many auctions and pretty pictures. Some of the pictures that were on the links that Lorelei gave me are pictures that I recognized because they're on idonowidont.com right now! I can't remember which morning show I saw this website feautured on, The Today Show maybe, but it was just last week. Oh, I looked at some of your original pics here, and the same pic keeps coming up at idonowidont, so maybe the pics are not being reused again. Sorry about that. But I do know that username is still selling lots of things there.

I'm so glad I found this place - you all have such lovely taste! I'm been so pleased with the satisfaction you all havereceived with the vendors here, and your pics are all so stunning. I know I'm going to end up choosing someone here and then having my own pics to post!!

P.S. I'd like to add that my mom is about the smartest lady I have ever met. She is high school educated only and knows just about everthing about anything, mostly from reading and common sense. I know she would say - if it sounds to good to be true, it is. One of these days I'm going to learn to not question her anymore. ;)

Glad to help! If you need any more assistance with anything you only have to ask!

I cannot believe how much publicity the owners of IDNID get! This is upsetting to me as I've seen these "news" reports on their site and how great it is, blah, blah, blah, and I had no idea until today that they dealt with so many (apparently shady) dealers. I thought the purpose of their business was to provide a site for individuals to sell their rings and tell their stories -- makes me angry that they're not telling the whole story!!!
