We are new to this and woould love anyones opinions on this stone :)
It seems to be an excellent price , what would be a fair or average price on a stone like this?
It sure is beautiful! and sparkles!
thanks in advance for any opinions.

The crown height seems to be extremely high. Also a bit deep, it seems.

Of coure, I'm sure it takes a nice marquise to impress you as it has.

I am not sure about the table ( or even what it is ) Anyone else with opinions ....Please

that table percentage is completely wrong. possibly the crown height as well. did you get the numbers off of the sarin?
i agree with julie, if you have seen it and it outshined all of the other marquise stones you looked at, it must be the one!

Here is the cut grading chart for Marquise cuts which will give you a point of reference.

http://diamonds.pricescope.com/fnc3.asp

With fancy cuts, it is very difficult to judge beauty by the numbers, you need your eyes for that and this one obviously speaks to you! However you don't want to buy one which is too deep, with a very thick girdle etc as this will waste weight and therefore how large it appears but above all use your eyes to know which is the right diamond for you. Some shallower cuts can look great as can some with more depth, so use the chart as a guide but mainly the eyes will let you know! Is that table size right??? As to the price that will also depend on who certed it, EGL etc or GIA - is it an EGL cert?

As mentioned above, fancy diamonds need to be seen and you have, while we have not. However, if you want an opinion strictly on the numbers here is mine: The diamond is very, very deep. It is going to look much smaller than it actually is. That alone would make me pass on it. What is the girdle like? That should be on the cert (and who did the cert by the way?). This marquise is "fat" so I am assuming that is what you like in a marquise diamond.

To see what it should cost, go above to "pricescope your diamond" and put in the specs. The price will depend on who did the cert so pay attention to that. Does it have a bow tie? All marquises will have one to an extent but you will want to minimize it as much as possible (at least most people do).
