Hey Everyone,

I''ve been lurking around for a week or two and decided to join. I''ve done a fair amount of reading here and it looks like a great resource for diamond noobs like me. I already know more about diamonds than all my friends, include the engaged/married ones.

Anyway, I''m thinking of proposing soon and need to do alot of homework. I busted my girlfiend drooling over the Tiffany Novo. After checking out a 1.01 F VVSI2 that was $21k, I realized that I was probably getting hosed at Tiffany''s. So, I''m looking to get a stone and setting that approximates the vintage Novo look.

I''ve noticed the square cushion H&A, I think it looks pretty sweet. Anyone one have some ballpark figures? I need to call over to GOG i suppose, they''re only a few hours away from me.

Any tips you''d care to share?

you can find out the price of gog''s square cushion H&A by clicking on the reserve diamond button. it looks like a 1.11ct GVS2 is $8,685.

i''ve been working with gog on my ring and they are very helpful and accommodating! i''m positive that you can find a great ring for much much less than what tiffany was asking for if you work with them (or any pricescope vendor for that matter). i highly recommend working with them.
