The photo with your lovely scarf really shows the glowing colour of the moonstone! So pretty!

My impression is that the moonstones appear (or glow) differently based on how the light strikes them.

Of course, I'd never heard of moonstone before stumbling across PS, so what do I know.

What you say is very true December Fire. Moonstones need a context--and likely why you see them set with colored gemstones and or enamel. Hence, in that photo they bloomed with my Hermes scarf, yet today were subdued with my neutral sweatshirt.

They are just super beautiful They remind me of the Temple St. Clair pieces I see in the Sunday New York Times and those are some pricey pieces from that jeweler They look perfect on your ear, the proportions and the color and finish on the yellow gold (I do love yellow gold).
